Despite leading 63-51 with 9:51 left on the clock, Houston guard Aubrey Coleman decided he didn’t like the look of Arizona player Chase Budinger’s face: so he stood on it.

After reviewing the play, officials ruled it a flagrant foul and ejected the Coleman from the game.

Arizona used the loss of Coleman, then the games second highest scorer, to win 96-90 in overtime, sweet revenge perhaps.

Even though the contact being clearly intentional, Coleman has since apologized.

“I want to apologize to Chase Budinger for what happened,” Coleman said. “I never meant to step on him. I have never been in an incident like this before, and I have nothing but respect for him as a great player.

“I love the game too much to do something like that intentionally. I want to say I am sorry from the bottom of my heart.”
