A truck driver in Georgia helped a woman get away from her kidnapper. He saw her running on the road in handcuffs in Aiken County. The incident was recorded in his dashcam. He was driving in a rural area on Williston Road. He saw a woman running down the road, looking distressed. He stopped to help her as he heard her saying, “Help me, help me, help me. He’s trying to kidnap me.”

Identified as Anthony Moore, he said, “I believe God held me up with those, with those preceding things, to be at that appointed place at that time with that dash cam.” After that, another driver stopped at the scene and called 911 for help.

Moore explained he knew the kidnapper was pretending to be a police officer as he was driving a Cadillac. When the kidnapper spotted him, he took off and left the woman. Moore asked her if she had her phone. She told him the kidnapper had her phone and diploma. She had just graduated the previous day and had planned to spend the night at her dad’s house. But she got kidnapped while she was walking to her mom’s house the next morning.

The kidnapper was identified as 39-year-old Jonathan Willard of New Ellington. Authorities charged him with kidnapping and impersonating a law enforcement officer. He was planning to take the woman into a remote area in Georgia; however, she escaped his vehicle when he left a door open.

Netizens online appreciated the truck driver for helping the woman. One noted, “Sounds like a serial killer, glad she got away and found help.” Another one chimed in, “They need to do a thorough check on his property and look into any missing persons in that area.” Many pointed out that there may be a pattern of kidnapping, and this may not be his first crime.

Another viewer added, “Thank goodness she got away and that those people believed her. No way this man made it to 39 years old and has a spotless record. That poor girl.” One more commented, “This is just a revelation of what’s been happening in all these spikes in missing women cases around the country.” Several people hope the accused will get a life sentence in prison, as he seemed like a dangerous predator.
