Snow has blanketed parts of Colorado, shutting schools and snarling traffic in the season’s first major winter storm.
Snow is expected to be heavy in some parts through Wednesday morning and may continue to fall through Thursday. 4-8″ of snow are expected in the mountains, urban corridor, and eastern plains, and the foothills of Jefferson, Boulder, and Larimer Counties may see an additional 12″ of snow.
Area schools saw their first snow day of the season, with closures in several districts and a delayed opening in others. A H1N1 vaccination clinic expecting around 2,400 people today was also due to inclement weather. Below are two lists of closures and delays from the 9News website:
