Amanda Knox got her first taste of freedom after several years when her conviction for murdering Meredith Kercher was overturned back in October. But what has she been doing with all of that free time? According to reports, she may soon be writing a book.
Knox, 24, has reportedly signed a deal with attorney Robert Barnett to represent her in discussions with various book publishers who have expressed an interest in Amanda writing a book,” spokesman David Marriott said. Additionally, Barnett will advise Knox and her family in evaluating other opportunities as well.
Speaking to CNN, Marriott said that they had “no further details to share about where they were in the process or whether Knox already had anything written,” CNN’s report says.
The news of Knox potentially writing a book in the near future comes only a day after news broke that Raffaele Sollecito, Knox’s former boyfriend and co-defendant in the case, had also signed a literary agent.
“This is a case I have followed from day one and never, not even for one moment, have I doubted the innocence of Raffaele Sollecito and Amanda Knox,” said Sharlene Martin, Sollecito’s new agent, in a statement.
