Justin Bieber and Young Money rapper Tyga's second collaboration "Wait For A Minute" now has an official audio stream on the MC's YouTube channel.
The track appears on Believe tour DJ Tay James' "We Know the DJ Radio Volume 3" mixtape and is now available for download following its September 8 release.
Justin introduces the mixtape with a shout-out followed by a salty "Intro."
Teased and talked since April's surprise YouTube flash,"Wait For A Minute" showcases the 19-year-old's determined move away from straight-ahead pop on this R&B/hip hop hybrid.
Against a creeping bass, lean beat, hand clicks, and moody sonics, the Biebs matches the song's tempered seduction with delicate, velveteen vocalizing around Tyga's deadpan rap.
With lyrics that are about as far away from the explicitness of last week's falsely attributed N-word song as it's possible to get, this 3.27 slow-jam offers more subtle references.
Justin sings: "If you're not with me, well if you take my hand babe / we can go to a place you ain't never seen before, Slowdance in the moonlight / I'm just trying to set the mood right, I'm just doing what a dude do, do it over and over and over/quickly run around with me now, swiftly just come with me I/ footsteps go to the beat now over and over and over" --- before the title repeats in the chorus.
Meanwhile in other Bieber news, after a whirlwind weekend packed with news about the teen star's upcoming movie-docu Believe, rounds at New York Fashion Week, the "Baby" singer has returned to Canada to support his father Jeremy as he recuperates from knee surgery.
His father tweeted: "My boy @justinbieber flew all the way home to be with me for my surgery. What an incredible boy. #love."
The superstar also hit the headlines after manager Scooter Braun recently announced the singer will release new music in October, while yesterday Justin launched his own teen protégé Madison Beer's debut video for her single, "Melodies."
