According to CBS News, Sayfullo is a 29-year-old man who came to the U.S. from Uzbekistan in 2010.

Saipov’s attack against people in New York has claimed the lives of at least eight people, with injuries to at least 13 people. Sayfullo is a truck driver who reportedly lived in Florida and New Jersey; however, Habibullaevic Saipov’s Facebook page mentioned living in Cleveland, Ohio. Saipov is a truck driver without an extensive criminal background, with a mere four traffic tickets to his name.

Saipov’s Facebook page didn’t show many details about his life prior to being deleted. In addition to Sayfullo’s Facebook page, he also had a Google Plus page with no photos. Along with any data found via Saipov’s Facebook account and other social media networking sites, authorities are also researching Saipov’s mobile devices to uncover who he has been in contact with lately. Although the investigation is still ongoing, authorities claim that Saipov’s attack has all the indications of an ISIS attack that encourages their followers to hit “soft targets,” such as pedestrians, by using vehicles.
