Hillary Clinton Blames FBI And Russian President Vladimir Putin Following Her Shock Election Defeat
Failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has used a recent speech to blame both the FBI and Russian President Vladimir Putin for her shock election defeat last month. Speaking to a group of campaign donors in Manhattan, Clinton claimed that Russian hacking attacks were ordered against her campaign and the Democratic National Committee as a result of Putin’s personal beef against her. According to Clinton, Putin had never forgiven her for accusing him of rigging parliamentary elections in his country in 2011.
According to the New York Times, Hillary Clinton has until now remained quiet on claims that the 2016 election was influenced by a foreign government. Clinton confirmed her view that Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered attacks against her party and campaign, saying “Putin publicly blamed me for the outpouring of outrage by his own people, and that is the direct line between what he said back then and what he did in this election.” She further lambasted the hacking attempt as an attack against not just her, but the entire country.
After launching a full-scale attack against the Russian president, Clinton endorsed the proposal of a bipartisan group of senators to investigate the claims of hacking, saying that the public deserves to know exactly what happened during the 2016 election in order to prevent future attacks against the United States’ electoral system.

Clinton didn’t entirely blame her loss on Russian hackers and the country’s president Vladimir Putin, however. According to the Daily Mail, Clinton was also keen to blame the FBI and particularly a letter sent out by FBI Director James Comey shortly before voters went to the polls. According to Clinton, that letter lost her a number of close races in key battleground states, which would have ultimately cost her the election. The failed Democratic candidate expressed that Comey’s move was one with political motivation behind it.
The letter, sent by Director Comey just days before the presidential election, disclosed new questions about emails handled by her private server. Clinton blamed her loss on that letter, saying “Swing-state voters made their decisions in the final days breaking against me because of the FBI letter from Director Comey.”

Hillary Clinton was joined at the event by her husband President Bill Clinton, daughter Chelsea, her vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine and campaign chair John Podesta. Aside from this appearance and a number of other carefully selected events, Clinton has kept a fairly low profile since her defeat to Donald Trump last month. However, Clinton has been photographed several times by members of the public near Chappaqua, N.Y, which is where she lives with her husband Bill.
Clinton’s comments come ahead of the electoral college meeting on Monday. The electoral college is expected to officially confirm Donald Trump as the next president of the United States. However, Trump’s confirmation won’t go without a hitch. Several electors have already expressed plans to vote with their conscience and not vote for President-elect Donald Trump, however, a number of Democratic electors have also expressed that they won’t vote for their party’s candidate, Hillary Clinton.

As a number of prominent figures in Washington, D.C., continue to push for a full investigation into the plight of Russian involvement in the presidential election, Hillary Clinton’s comments could go some way in supporting that call. However, by the time that happens, Donald Trump will likely be the next leader of the free world.
