Marina Abramovic: Who Is The 'Spirit Cooker' In The WikiLeaks Podesta Emails? [Graphic Photos]

The revelations from the email leaks published by WikiLeaks from the account of John Podesta, Chairman of the 2016 Hillary Clinton presidential campaign, continue to cause a buzz. As reported by the Inquisitr, performance artist Marina Abramovic was mentioned in an email from Marina to Tony Podesta, a lobbyist and John's brother, in an invite to a "Spirit Cooking" dinner. As a result, #SpiritCooking began trending on Twitter Friday morning and continued to trend well into the afternoon. Those conspiracy theorists who believe Twitter changes their algorithm to block conservative Christian items joked that the Twitter moderators must be asleep at the controls.

Marina grew to fame during her "The Artist is Present" exhibition, in which Abramovic sat in 2010 for 736.5 hours across from a variety of strangers at New York's Museum of Modern Art. Marina can be seen in the background of the above photo, with artist Kembra Pfahler in the front, as Kembra attended Marina's exhibition's closing party in New York, on Tuesday, June 1, 2010.

Whereas Kembra portrays herself as an unabashed Satanist in photos such as the ones below displaying a Christian cross upside-down and pentagram-looking artwork, that doesn't mean that Abramovic is automatically a devil worshipper, as some conservative websites have claimed. After all, Ciara can be seen in below photos as well, with the notoriously Christian singer attending the same exhibit back in 2010.

One such article, titled "No, John Podesta's Spirit Cooking Dinner Wasn't About Devil Worship," published by Townhall, did just that while casting Christians who might believe the notion of #SpiritCooking to be something as kooky as Ben Carson connecting Hillary Clinton to Lucifer, as reported by the Inquisitr.

But today we have Marina's name surging on Twitter, with a whole bunch of strange assertions that also deserve a deeper review.

WikiLeaks pointed to Marina's Reddit AMA from three years ago, titled "I am performance artist Marina Abramovic. Ask me anything." One Reddit user asked Marina about the occult, evil, witchcraft, and dark magic. Abramovic's answer proved that she didn't summarily dismiss it as something evil, kooky, or dreamed up by right-wing nuts making up stuff.

"Marina! What place do you see the occult having within contemporary art; can magick be made (not simply appropriated/ performed)? Thanks, K"
"Everything depends on which context you are doing what you are doing. If you are doing the occult magic in the context of art or in a gallery, then it is the art. If you are doing it in different context, in spiritual circles or private house or on TV shows, it is not art. The intention, the context for what is made, and where it is made defines what art is or not."

WikiLeaks and others are pointing to that as evidence that Marina's "Spirit Dinner" wasn't just a silly little name for a crazy little dinner, but something more akin to evil. The disturbing video below also shows Marina creating performance art that might make people want to skip lunch.

Warning: The following video contains content that can be offensive.

According to MTV, hotel staff once accused Lady Gaga of leaving a bathtub filled with blood.

"…and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming, and is already in the world at this time. You, little children, are from God and have overcome them, because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world."
