‘Alaskan Bush People’ Season 6: What’s Ahead For The Browns?

Well, another season of Alaskan Bush People is wrapping up. With all the real-life drama and accusations, it’s fair to say this season of Alaskan Bush People was a strange one. Somehow, it managed to be oddly predictable while providing unexpected twists – in the form of off-camera scandals.

Given what we know about the series, thanks to observant Alaskans and recent gossip, it’s highly possible to predict what’s next for the Browns and this reality TV show. Want to know what to look forward to in Season 6? Well, here are some predictions for Alaskan Bush People’s future episodes based on what we’ve already learned.

First, we’ll likely learn once and for all Matt Brown’s fate. The troubled reality TV star left his family behind on the previous episode of Alaskan Bush People to seek treatment for drinking-related problems.

Apparently, Matt completed a 35-day stay at a rehab facility in Juneau, Alaska. Afterward, he reached out to People magazine to discuss the situation.

“Once he began spending more and more time drinking with friends ‘in town’ over the past year, Brown admits, ‘I was more withdrawn. I was slower. Things didn’t excite me the way they used to.’

“Brown, 33, says he first started drinking a few years ago when his family’s boat broke down and they began spending time in nearby Juneau. ‘I’ve always been able to handle city life, no problem,’ says Brown. ‘But I started hanging out with people who drank. They didn’t have a problem with it so while I was around them, I started drinking.'”

What’s interesting is that we still don’t know if Matt will be returning to the bush with his family. There’s always the possibility that Matt might pull away from the “Wolf Pack” shortly and strike out on his own. If he does return, it’s possible that the trip to rehab will continue to feature as a story arc for at least part of Alaskan Bush People’s sixth season.

Another likely storyline for Alaskan Bush People’s next season? Boat trouble. It seems that malfunctions are a familiar issue in the series, as is bad luck on the high seas. We’ll remember that the very first season of Alaskan Bush People ended with their beloved ship sinking, leaving the family stranded and hopeless.

The positive reception to the Browns and curiosity about what came next led to future seasons – and regular boat problems.

There was a curious development a few weeks back on this front. Rumors began to circulate that Alaskan Bush People producers and the network were keen to get their hands on a boat. The reason? Allegedly, there would be a fire that the Browns would have to put out. It’s not clear if the Browns were thought to be saving another boat or salvaging a ship belonging to them.

Even if this particular rumor doesn’t become truth, given the almost predictable level of trouble the cast has with the Integrity, we shouldn’t be surprised to see major boat drama on Alaskan Bush People throughout Season 6.

Something else that could be coming in Season 6? That family reunion we were told never happened. There were multiple reports, by both Radar Online and the Inquisitr, claiming that Ami Brown’s relatives never got the chance to see her or the rest of the “Wolf Pack.” It was supposedly due to the Alaskan Bush People cast’s inexplicably timed trip to Hawaii.

However, a bombshell revelation suggests that the two parties indeed met up in Maui, and it’s highly possible we’ll be seeing the specifics of that trip in a special Alaskan Bush People episode. Unfortunately, the deception required to pull this surprise off meant Ami Brown’s family got on the wrong side of Alaskans. It’s not polite to intrude upon the kindness of strangers while not being forthcoming about one’s intentions.

Backlash ensued, and the mini-scandal inadvertently led to the revelation that both Billy and Ami’s relatives and friends were likely part of promoting the Alaskan Bush People franchise this entire time. It’s possible the show’s family drama might have been manufactured solely for ratings — however, it may be some time before we have direct confirmation.

In addition to the more predictable storylines, such as hauling business setbacks, we may get hit with another surprise. Many didn’t see Billy Brown’s reunion with his daughter, Twila, coming, or that shocking fraud scandal when it was first reported late last year. There may be yet another explosive scandal around the corner. The question is whether Alaskan Bush People would be able to survive another problematic revelation without getting yanked off the air.
