Britney Spears Promises New Music ‘Very Soon,’ Reveals Big Las Vegas Secrets

Britney Spears is dropping a big new music bombshell.

Speaking out during an all new interview with the Las Vegas Sun, Spears teased that we’ll be hearing brand new music from her “very soon.”

Britney made the big new music admission when quizzed about the status of her upcoming ninth studio album, where she coyly replied that fans can expect to “be hearing something new from me soon… very soon.”

Although Spears didn’t elaborate on just how “very soon” that new music will be hitting the airwaves, rumors have been circulating over the past few months that new Britney music will, in fact, be making its big premiere sooner rather than later.

But while Britney has been keeping pretty tight-lipped recently when it comes to dropping new music details in recent months, that doesn’t appear to have stopped her alleged co-workers from spilling the beans on her big plans to release a follow-up to 2013’s Britney Jean.

MTV News reported just last month that songwriter and producer Esjay Jones let it slip on social media that Spears was actually looking to release an EP of new music in the not-too-distant future.

The site alleged that Jones dropped the big news in a now-deleted tweet, where she supposedly wrote on January 5, “#2016 Ecstatic to be working on the @britneyspears #EP with the #DreamTeam @Trey_Vittetoe #ginaschock #britneyspears.”

Spears has neither confirmed nor denied the rumors that she’s looking to release an EP of new music in the coming months, although Esjay’s tweet was notably swiftly deleted from the 140-character site.

Producer DJ Mustard has also been dropping some pretty revealing hints when it comes to Spears’ new project, teasing back in July while at Wireless Festival in London that Britney has been hard at work in the studio and even described her new sound as “crazy.”

“It’s going to be crazy,” DJ Mustard told CapitalEXTRA of Britney’s upcoming new music, “We got something harder than all that. It’s like it’s a movie, it’s crazy. I can’t really go too much on it, but it’s like… it’s incredible.”

But while it looks like Britney Spears is ready to release new music into the world, the star has also been dropping hints about the big changes fans can expect from her uber-popular “Britney: Piece of Me” Las Vegas residency shows.

“I’ve added a few fan-favorite songs into the show, changed up the intro and had fabulous new costumes designed for each act,” Spears told the Las Vegas Sun of her revamped Sin City shows. “I also put together an amazing dance break to three of my favorite Missy Elliot songs. And we have lasers now. I love the look of the lasers.”

Spears also hinted to the site in the revealing new interview that fans who haven’t been lucky enough to make the big trip to Las Vegas may be seeing Britney in a city near them when her Las Vegas shows take a brief hiatus later this year.

“I hope we can do some touring,” Britney Spears told the site when quizzed about the possibility of her taking her show outside of Nevada. “It’ll be fun to see my fans from overseas who haven’t been able to make it out to Las Vegas.”

But while Britney isn’t ruling out the possibility of heading back out on the road, that doesn’t mean she’s waving goodbye to Las Vegas anytime soon.

“I really love Las Vegas,” Spears said of her stay in Sin City, which began in December 2013 and is expected to run at least into 2017. “It’s like a second home to me. I’m looking forward to spending two more years here.”
