WWE News: Brock Lesnar To Confront The Wyatt Family On ‘RAW’?

After losing his chance to main event Wrestlemania 32 when the Wyatt Family eliminated him from the Royal Rumble, “The Beast Incarnate” is set to appear at Monday Night RAW tomorrow evening.

Last week on RAW, Stephanie McMahon announced that Lesnar would face Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose in a triple threat match at WWE Fastlane next month. The winner of that bout will move on to face new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Triple H, in a match for the championship.

However, in a WWE Five-Point Preview for tomorrow night’s RAW, the company is teasing that the triple threat match will not be the only thing of Lesnar’s mind.

“One night after The Wyatt Family eliminated Brock Lesnar from the Royal Rumble Match — essentially robbing The Beast of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship — The Authority announced that Lesnar will battle Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose in a Triple Threat Match at WWE Fastlane. The winner of that bout will then go on to WrestleMania to challenge Triple H for the grandest prize in sports-entertainment.”

“Lesnar can’t be in a good mood in the wake of his Royal Rumble Match defeat, and will be anxious to transform Birmingham, Ala., into Suplex City. But which Superstars will suffer his wrath: Bray Wyatt and his followers, The Beast’s WWE Fastlane opponents or both? No matter who crosses his path, Lesnar is bringing the pain to Raw.”

Amid all of the injuries that a litany of WWE superstars have suffered, plans for matches at Wrestlemania 32 are reportedly up in the air. Seth Rollins, Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan, John Cena, Cesaro, and Sting are all currently sidelined. In recent days, Alberto Del Rio and Sheamus have joined the injured reserve, although their ailments are not expected to sideline them for a long period of time.

However, in Lesnar’s case, all indications and rumors have him competing against the Wyatt Family in some form at Wrestlemania 32. At this time, it’s likely that Lesnar faces Bray Wyatt in a singles match at the big event, but several different takes on that match have been discussed.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, a Lesnar vs. Braun Strowman match has been discussed. Also, a handicap match pitting Lesnar against the entire Wyatt Family has been discussed, too. However, Strowman is now rumored to be The Undertaker’s next Wrestlemania opponent after John Cena — who was the scheduled opponent –went down with a shoulder injury.

It appears that the triple threat, No.1 contenders’ match at WWE Fastlane is just a formality and a way to utilize Lesnar before Wrestlemania in a few months. Also, his inclusion in the match is likely a part of the storyline as Lesnar has still not received a clean shot to regain the WWE World Heavyweight that he lost without being pinned at Wrestlemania 31.

A feud against The Wyatt Family would be a fresh, original storyline as Lesnar has previously never wrestled any of the members. Also, if Bray Wyatt is the chosen man to face Lesnar, it would mark his third consecutive Wrestlemania facing an established competitor as he previously wrestled John Cena (Wrestlemania XXX) and The Undertaker (Wrestlemania 31).

For Lesnar, it would mark his fourth consecutive high-profile Wrestlemania bout as he has faced Triple H (Wrestlemania 29), The Undertaker (Wrestlemania XXX), and Roman Reigns (Wrestlemania 31) the last three years on the “grandest stage of them all.”
