Severed Head Found In Montreal Park Could Be Related To Porn Star Murderer

A severed head found in a Montreal park could be the work of the porn star who allegedly killed and dismembered a Concordia University student, the city’s police said.

Luka Rocco Magnotta was accused of killing student Jun Lin and stuffing his torso in a suitcase. The man’s hands and feet were mailed to political parties in Ottawa and two schools in British Columbia, The Huffington Post reported. The man’s head was never found, prompting police to investigate the gruesome finding in Angrignon Park to see if it is connected to Magnotta.

“For the time being it is still too early to confirm anything,” said Montreal Police spokeswoman Anie Lemieux in an interview with CBC News.

Magnotta, who was reportedly in a relationship with Lin, is accused of murdering the 33-year-old Chinese student with an ice pick.

The severed head was found following a tip on Sunday, leading Montreal’s Major Crime Squad to cordon off sections of the park, the report said. The 29-year-old Magnotta, who was arrested in Germany following an international manhunt, is accused of first-degree murder of Lin, defiling a corpse and harassing Prime Minister Stephen Harper along with other political officials. Some parts of the body have still not been recovered, but police told Lin’s family finding the rest is a priority.

The amateur porn actor returned to Canada in June and faces a preliminary hearing next March. He has chosen a jury trial, CBC News reported.

Police said it could take several days to determine if the severed head belongs to Lin.
