‘Canadian Psycho’ Luka Magnotta Arrested In Berlin

Luka Rocco Magnotta, a porn star suspected of killing his gay lover and mailing his body parts to government buildings, has been arrested in Berlin, Germany.

Fox News reports that Magnotta allegedly murdered 33-year-old Chinese student Jun Lin with an ice pick. He then dismembered the body and sent various body parts to government buildings in the mail. Magnotta fled the country shortly after the murder, sparking a global manhunt.

The porn star, who initially traveled to Paris, was arrested this morning at an internet cafe in Berlin.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Magnotta posted a video of the murder on the internet.

Montreal police spokesman Ian Lafreniere added:

“This is the kind of guy that’s looking for attention… He likes to glorify himself with the web. The web will glorify him and the web is also going to bring him back to justice because there are a lot of pictures of him out there and it will help lead him to us.”

Magnotta was arrested for first-degree murder, threatening the prime minister of Canada, defiling a corpse, and sending “obscene, indecent, immoral or scurrilous” material through the postal service.

Berlin police spokesperson Stefan Rieldich told the National Post that Magnotta was taken into custody and could go in front of jajudge as early as tomorrow. Canadian officials are expected to travel to Berlin this week to take custody of the “Canadian Psycho.”
