After going through a youth movement n 2009, the Jacksonville Jaguars no longer have youth as an excuse. Sure this team collapsed down the stretch losing their last four games and a legitimate shot at post season football. Rookies made 71 starts for this team in 2009, so in 2010 youth can no longer be an excuse. They got younger, now those youngster need to step up in a big way. QB David Garrard must improve in a big way or this will be his last year as the starter.

Garrard does get the chance to lead an offense that should be pretty good. He has Maurice Jones-Drew behind him and he is a very good RB. Mike Thomas, Mike Sims-Walker, and TE Marcedes Lewis make up the receiving corps. However that unit also sports Troy Williamson. He is a former first round draft pick who has been disappointing so far in his career. Entering year three he has improved his route running and his hands and might be due for a breakout season. The O line is set save for Center and that might be a concern, but it is a pretty good unit.

Defensively there are questions. The front four played poorly last year and they drafted Tyson Alualu with the 10th overall pick. DE Aaron Kampman is coming off a knee injury and opposite end Derrick Harvey has had little impact so far. Alualu will play DT, along with rising star Terrance Knighton. I am very uncertain about their LB corps, but the secondary is deep with corner talent. However it seems to lack legit starters at safety.

On Special Teams Josh Scobee will be the kicker, with Adam Podlesh handling the punting duties. It seems like Deki Karim will be the featured kick and punt returner.
