ISIS has released a video in which they proclaim that America will suffer another attack like 9/11. Newsweek reports this latest 11-minute long video, which ISIS named “We Will Burn America,” is an effort to rally their supporters and encourage attacks on the United States similar to 9/11, claiming that Americans have a false sense of security.
The disturbing video shows footage of the attack on the World Trade Center with a male narrating stating that there is “no safety for any American on the globe.” The latest ISIS attempt to put fear into Americans contains gruesome footage of numerous barbaric attacks, such as the “beheading of U.S. journalist James Foley and Steven Sotloff [and] the burning of Jordanian pilot Moaz al-Kasabeh,” as reported by RT.
ISIS militants began an American social media rant using the hashtag #WeWillBurnUSAgain, which was repeated over 15,000 times in just two days, calling for “lone wolf” attacks within the United States, according to RT.
The foreboding rhetoric in the ISIS video projects that “America thinks it’s safe because of the geographical location. Thus you see it invades the Muslim lands, and it thinks that the army of the Jihad won’t reach in their lands. But the dream of the American to have safety became a mirage. Today there is no safety for any American on the globe.”
The video continues, “By Allah’s willing, the fear will spread among them again soon. Here it is America now losing billions still to make sure their country is safe. But today, it’s time for payback.”
Obama said, “Today I authorized two operations in Iraq. Targeted airstrikes to protect our American personnel, and a humanitarian effort to save thousands of Iraqi civilians who are trapped on a mountain without food and water, and are facing almost certain death.”
It was just a mere three months ago when ISIS directly threatened President Obama in a different video, stating, “Know, oh Obama, that we will reach America. Know also that we will cut off your head in the White House and transform America into a Muslim province.”
Rita Katz, the Director of Insite Blog on Terrorism and Extremism, revealed to RT, “In a time of lone wolf attacks, and Americans and other Westerners pledging to the Islamic State, this kind of (social media) campaign should not be taken lightly.”
The narrator’s voice resonates on the ISIS video, stating, “By the grace of Allah, today the mujahideen are much more stronger and they have more resources than before. Thus they are able to burn the United States again.”
