Alec Baldwin Raps In Instagram Video With Chance The Rapper [Video]

Alec Baldwin

Alec Baldwin is a man with multiple talents — apparently talents that go beyond his acting skills and a knack for punching out photographers. One video going viral featuring Baldwin can be found on the Instagram account, with Alec joining the popular rapper in a somewhat impromptu rap, whereby Baldwin can be seen looking down and reading lyrics from a piece of paper. Uploaded 13 hours ago on March 1, at approximately 9:36 p.m. ET, the Instagram video has gone viral, enjoying more than 32,500 Instagram likes, and more than 1,200 comments since it was uploaded. For his part, Chance the Rapper has nothing, but high praise for Baldwin as witnessed by the description accompanying the viral video.

“This is me beatboxing while Alec Baldwin raps, he is for the people. Him, Alfred Woodard and Ali from Tribe came thru the city to help raise money for YCA, the organization that built and developed myself and @Malcolmlondon into the leaders we have become. Give it up for them. Beautiful leaders we can all learn from #Chicago #LongLiveTheYoung #YCA”

Although it’s somewhat difficult to decipher the rhymes Baldwin spits, viewers can hear lyrics about Alec seeing crimes committed by the gunman before Alec tells Chance that they are done, and they’ve got the rap finished. According to Vulture, Baldwin was rapping lines from the Carl Sandburg poem titled “Chicago,” and the way Alec rapped next to a real rapper was clunky, but he is being praised all the same for traveling to the Midwest to help raise money for a good cause.

“…for I have seen your painted women under the gas lamps luring the farm boys.
And they tell me you are crooked and I answer: Yes, it is true I have seen the gunman kill and go free to kill again.”

The last time Alec was being remembered in a prominent way was during the SNL 40th Anniversary show, wherein Jimmy Fallon and his BFF Justin Timberlake did a montage in the opening that featured famous lines from SNL, such as Baldwin’s laughable “sweaty balls” comment that Alec delivered when he played a radio show host on Saturday Night Live as reported by the Inquisitr.

Other than finding more fame with a famous rapper on Instagram, Baldwin is getting attention on Reddit for reportedly buying a group of folks breakfast who’d just graduated from Navy boot camp when they ran into Alec at the Newark International Airport. It looks like Baldwin is trying to improve his hot-tempered reputation by going around and doing good deeds all over the country.
