Westboro Baptist Church To Picket Funerals Of Kansas City Jewish Center Shooting Victims
The Westboro Baptist Church, who is known for their anti-gay and anti-semitic ideology, is planning to picket the funerals of the three Christians who were killed by Frazier Glenn Miller Jr. at two Kansas City Jewish sites late last week. Westboro Baptist Church is also well known for picketing the funerals of American soldiers returning from overseas saying that they were killed because America is too gay friendly. They picket with signs that say slogans such as “God Hates Fags”.
The Westboro Baptist Church is not affiliated with any standard Baptist movement in the US or anywhere else.
The Westboro Baptist Church has a long history of anti-semitic actions including a 1996 protest of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. At that protest, Westboro Baptist Church leader Fred Phelps said:
“Whatever righteous cause the Jewish victims of the 1930s–40s Nazi Holocaust had (probably minuscule, compared to the Jewish Holocausts against Middle Passage Blacks, African Americans and Christians — including the bloody persecution of Westboro Baptist Church by Topeka Jews in the 1990s), has been drowned in sodomite semen. American taxpayers are financing this unholy monument to Jewish mendacity and greed and to filthy fag lust”.
The Westboro Baptist Church announced the Kansas City Protest on their Twitter account saying:

Phelps has given many interviews with the national media blaming the Jewish people for the problems of America linking them with the gay rights movement. He said in an interview before his death:
“God has smitten Jews with a certain unique madness … Jews, thus perverted, out of all proportion to their numbers energize the militant sodomite agenda,” adding that “Jews are the real Nazis.”
In 2009 The Westboro Baptist Church released a statement at the dedication for a Holocaust Museum in Topeka Kansas saying:
“JEWS KILLED JESUS! Yes, the Jews killed the Lord Jesus…Now they’re carrying water for the fags; that’s what they do best: sin in God’s face every day, with unprecedented and disproportionate amounts of sodomy, fornication, adultery, abortion and idolatry! God hates these dark-hearted rebellious disobedient Jews.”
The Jewish Anti-Defamation League and the Southern Poverty Law Center have both called the Westboro Baptist Church one of the leading hate groups in the USA today.
F. Glenn Miller Jr. has been charged with capital murder in the deaths. Prosecutors are deciding whether to add the death penalty to the possible punishments Miller can receive.
