Miley Cyrus Quitting ‘The Voice’? Gwen Stefani’s Return Confirmed Following Feud Rumors

Is Miley Cyrus quitting The Voice?

This question has been on the minds of many since Miley Cyrus joined Season 11, filling in for Gwen Stefani who took some time off. Fans of the show seem to have very strong opinions of the Wrecking Ball singer, most either loving her as a coach or absolutely loathing her. With Miley, there doesn’t seem to be any kind of in between.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, there have been several rumors circulating online about a feud between Miley Cyrus and Adam Levine. Some media outlets have even suggested that things were so intense that Miley was thinking about leaving the show mid-season!

Today, it has been confirmed that Gwen Stefani will be returning to her spinning red chair for Season 12 and that Miley Cyrus will not be joining her.

According to Us Weekly, however, Miley Cyrus isn’t quitting The Voice. The songstress has actually inked a deal to return to the singing competition show for Season 13, which will premiere in fall 2017. That means that the stories that you might have read about Miley not getting along with the other coaches (namely Adam Levine and Blake Shelton) were likely just bologna.

Miley is more than happy on the show, and she seems to be doing a fine job with the singers who chose her as their coach. If she wasn’t having a good time, she wouldn’t sign another contract to do another season — it really is as simple as that.

Contrary to popular belief, Christina Aguilera will not be returning for Season 12 either, but Alicia Keys has inked a deal that will keep her right where she is for another go around.

“We can’t wait to experience the unique chemistry and energy Gwen, Alicia, Blake and Adam will bring to season 12. With Miley returning for season 13, we’re truly ecstatic about the unmatched musical know-how and talent coming together in our coming seasons,” Paul Telegdy, president, Alternative and Reality Group, NBC Entertainment, told Variety.

Since Miley Cyrus isn’t quitting The Voice, fans will have to decide if they want to keep watching or if they will find another way to occupy their Monday and Tuesday nights. The good thing is that everyone wins in this situation. The fans who say they no longer watch the show because of Miley will get to enjoy a Miley-free Season 12. And those who loved Miley in the coach’s chair will be happy to hear that she is coming back for more in Season 13.

Of course, those who miss Christina Aguilera will just have to wait and see if the blonde beauty decides that she wants to give the show another go. After winning Season 10 with amazing talent Alisan Porter, Aguilera felt like she accomplished something major. She was the first female coach to have a team win, which was a pretty big deal.

If Miley Cyrus was thinking of quitting The Voice early on, those feelings are long gone now. The show is well into the “Battle Rounds” and many feel as though #TeamMiley has a shot at winning. And if Miley Cyrus’ team does win this season, it would be pretty huge for her, given all the negative rumors that have been floating around about her and her experience on The Voice.
