Miley Cyrus Quitting ‘The Voice’? Fans Rejoice At Singer’s Rumored Departure

Miley Cyrus may be quitting The Voice after reports that she’s not getting along with veteran coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, rumors that Miley Cyrus isn’t enjoying her time on this season of The Voice have been circulating for months. There have been several reports claiming that Miley is being ridiculed by Adam and Blake behind the scenes and that she’s been brought to tears on more than one occasion.

There have been reports that Miley Cyrus has contemplated leaving the show mid-season because she can’t handle the stress brought on by the other coaches (namely Adam and Blake).

Miley Cyrus quitting The Voice mid-season would require her breaking her contract with NBC and could have the network filing a lawsuit. Not for nothing, but this is something that Miley would probably like to avoid at all costs. She seems to be doing well on the show when we’re talking about #TeamMiley, and many feel that she actually has the potential to win. That is, of course, if people actually vote for the talent that she’s coaching and don’t vote for a different team just because they don’t care too much for Miley.

Many fans of The Voice have been rather outspoken about their disdain for the “Wrecking Ball” singer. Some people have even admitted that they no longer watch the show because Miley Cyrus is on it!

NBC may have realized that putting Miley in a big red spinning chair was a risk, and the ratings appear to prove that it was. According to Zap2It, last Tuesday’s episode of The Voice “adjusted up” after having lower viewership the week before. It seems clear that the show isn’t doing as well as it once did.

But is Miley Cyrus to blame?

All of that said, Gossip Cop has debunked the rumors and has reported that Miley Cyrus will not be quitting The Voice.

“Despite Gossip Cop having previously busted false reports of an on-set feud between Cyrus and Levine, we still checked in with a source close to the situation, who exclusively assures us Cyrus gets along great with all of her fellow coaches. We’re further told she’s loving her experience on the show, and all claims otherwise are simply ‘false.'”

If Miley Cyrus doesn’t quit The Voice this season, it’s highly unlikely that she will return to the show for the next season. For starters, she’s really only “filling in” for Christina Aguilera/Gwen Stefani/Cee Lo/anyone else who has ever occupied those two middle seats. Aguilera likes to take a season off to record music and spend time with her two kids. She will more than likely be reclaiming her throne when the show returns in 2017. To many, that’s a total relief.
