Zayn Malik New Album: Writing Songs About Gigi Hadid, Disses Perrie Edwards?

Has Zayn Malik started working on his sophomore record?

According to reports, the singer has kept himself in the recording studio penning dozens of songs that could potentially make the cut for his next studio album, but his record label has yet to confirm the rumors.

Whether the album ends up dropping this year or not, it’s clear that Zayn Malik has already recorded enough songs that could fill up an entire body of work. But it’s the theme of his latest tracks that seems to be following a certain pattern.

According to Hollywood Life, Malik has been writing a lot of songs with his girlfriend, Gigi Hadid, in mind. The couple, who have been dating for almost a year, is still going strong, despite initial reports that claimed the twosome broke up over the summer and reconciled weeks later.

Sources say that Gigi and Zayn are happier than ever, spending most of their time in New York City together. A source reveals that while Hadid is modeling for the likes of Karl Lagerfeld and Tommy Hilfiger, Malik has been in the studio, and the only thing he seems to be interested in singing about is Gigi.

“Zayn writes music daily and has been putting Gigi [Hadid] in his tracks since the day they met. He has a ton of new songs inspired by their love that make Gigi feel incredibly lucky and special,” the insider gushed. “Gigi even gives Zayn some feedback on the unreleased music, usually all positive stuff. She tells him what she likes about the songs and that helps him with his anxiety.”

Hadid has been very supportive of Zayn Malik in the midst of the singer’s anxiety battle, E Online affirms, which many seem to believe is what caused the couple to split earlier this year. While the twosome never confirmed or denied the reports, there’s no denying that Zayn appreciates and loves Gigi, a source added.

Hollywood Life goes on to say that Malik has done nothing but gush about his love for the top model to family and friends, who are all under the impression that the twosome will potentially end up tying the knot with the way Zayn goes on about her.

“He is so smitten and he’s always telling friends that he already ‘found the one,'” the source added, which could be considered as a slight dig at Little Mix member Perrie Edwards, who was once engaged to the star before Zayn abruptly ended the romance.

It was alleged by Calvin Blanco that, following endless cheating allegations on his behalf, Zayn Malik decided to end the engagement and call it quits with Perrie via a measly phone call, leaving Edwards devastated.

The supposed fact that Zayn Malik is calling Gigi Hadid “the one” could be a slight diss towards Perrie, who was someone he spent three years of his life with.

While Zayn feels very strongly about Gigi Hadid, he’s definitely not going to rush into any engagement this time around. If the twosome end up lasting for the long run, the singer will definitely end up proposing to the stunning model, but it should happen naturally, and better yet, at a time when both of their careers aren’t as hectic.
