Tyga Demanding King Cairo Be Paid For Appearances On ‘Rob & Chyna?’

From the archive: published Jun 2, 2016, 10 years ago. Details may have changed since.

Sure, King Cairo is Blac Chyna’s son, but that doesn’t mean King should appear on Blac’s new docuseries for free. At least, that’s what King Cairo’s father, Tyga, is allegedly arguing.

According to a new report from Hollywood Life, Tyga believes King Cairo should be paid for his appearances on any reality TV show — including Blac Chyna’s docuseries, Rob & Chyna, with her soon-to-be husband, Rob Kardashian. According to the unnamed source, Tyga believes King should get a “ransom” to appear.

“If Blac thinks she’s putting King on her little docuseries with Rob she’s sadly mistaken. Tyga’s put his foot down and is telling Blac, King isn’t doing the show, unless the little guy gets a king’s ransom.”

Blac Chyna is in an odd position with her son King because she’s not the only parent intimately familiar with the Kardashian family. Tyga also knows the family well, as he dated Kylie Jenner for nearly two years when before they split earlier this year. As a result, Tyga is likely more familiar with the inner workings of Kardashian reality TV shows than many fathers would be.

Because of his former relationship with Kylie Jenner, Tyga believes that King Cairo is a household name similar to that of North West, the Hollywood Life source went on to say. As a result, Tyga is reportedly certain that his son should make the big bucks to appear on TV.

“Tyga believes King is a household name just like North West and if he’s going to be in front of any cameras than the little man should be compensated at least 5-figures.”

Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna announced their new E! docuseries earlier this week. The six-episode series is expected to follow Rob and Blac throughout their engagement and Chyna’s pregnancy.

Rob and Blac are expected to bring in big ratings, as their relationship has thus far been filled with plenty of drama. When the couple began dating in January, reports indicated that many of the Kardashian-Jenner family members were furious.

At the time, Chyna and Jenner were sworn enemies because of their relationships with Tyga. Blac Chyna repeatedly called Kylie out on social media and routinely indicated that Kylie and Tyga may have begun dating before Blac and Tyga called off their engagement. And, of course, the situation was complicated by the fact that Tyga and Blac have a child together.

But things have changed drastically since Rob and Blac began dating. Tyga and Kylie have split, and reports indicate that Kylie and Chyna have called a truce. Some reports indicate that they’ve even begun to become friends.

That could be a good thing, as Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna got engaged soon after they began dating. Just a few weeks later, the couple announced that they were expecting a new baby — the first of Kris Jenner’s grandchildren that would carry on the Kardashian name.

Tyga’s reported demands that King Cairo be compensated for his TV appearances come on the heels of allegations that Tyga may be facing money troubles. The “Rack City” rapper has been in and out of court for allegedly failing to pay rent on mansions. Other reports indicate that he is in danger of having some of his luxury cars repossessed.

What do you think of the idea that King Cairo be paid for his appearances on Rob & Chyna or, potentially, Keeping Up With the Kardashians? Do you think King Cairo is a household name like North West? Why or why not?
