Take this with a grain (or more) of sea salt, but marine explorer and treasure hunter Bill Warren claims he knows where the body of Osama bin Laden is located.
In an interview with the Spanish newspaper El Mundo , Warrren said–according to Google Translate–that the body is “is two hundred miles west of the Indian city of Surat.” He claims he is the only person with this information and that he identified the site via satellite photographs recently released by the Navy. Warren believes that the body bag would have hardly moved from the spot in bottom of the Arabian Sea because the Navy weighed down the bag so thoroughly.
Warren, a former gospel singer and write-in presidential candidate, wants to find and retrieve the bag, open it, and conduct DNA tests on human remains because he doesn’t trust the official government storyline. He is currently trying to raise funds (approximately $300,000) to rent the necessary diving equipment.
The expedition according to Warren will start on June 1 and could be finished as quickly as one week but no longer than three months. The explorer also expressed concerns that the U.S. government would try to kill him or sink his ship before he completes his mission. Warren is currently in Azerbaijan on a government contract to find some old sunken ships.
Gizmodo.com observes that “It’s highly unlikely that, even if he were right about the location—and again, there’s very little chance he is—he would be able to find a body bag in the bottom of the deep sea.”
According to Warren’s website, “This search will attempt to prove one way or the other that Bin Laden is dead. Also, we will be able to provide true evidence that Bin Laden was killed if we can find his body.”
Do think this is on the level or just a publicity stunt by a conspiracy theorist?
