An 18-year-old from Nevada, Vincent Llamas, is facing charges for planning a mass shooting in his school to “punish” those who bullied him in school. Llamas has described wanting to kill his parents and shoot up his high school as well. Following his last court appearance, the 18-year-old may receive probation. He is set to appear back in court on June 10.

As of writing, Llamas is out of custody and is on electronic monitoring. According to the Daily Mail, District Judge Mary Kay Holthus stated Llamas had complied with the conditions of his plea deal, which were negotiated by Chief Deputy District Attorney Eckley Keach and defense attorney Frank Coumou. “Keep doing what you’re doing for now,” the judge said. “We’re trying to figure it out to keep you in line with the deal.”

According to the publication, the matter came into light after Llamas’ family members found his journal, which contained graphic details. “I’m doing it today, the massacre,” a journal entry read. The Metropolitan Police Department also revealed that the 18-year-old had purchased several items online to carry out the massacre. The items included a crossbow, an axe, a hunting knife, and a tactical vest, all of which were bought from Amazon.

Reports have revealed that Llamas even attempted to buy a firearm but was denied since he couldn’t show proper identification. The teen then planned to use a 3D-printed gun to carry out the attack. The 18-year-old’s statement to police revealed that he was “jealous” of school shooters. According to Llamas, it was unfair that these individuals were remembered for carrying out “horrific acts of violence.”

One of Llamas’ cousins spoke on the matter, revealing his thoughts on him. “Vincent has spoken about carrying out a school shooting and empathizes with those who perpetrate them, believing them to be like himself,” the cousin said. “He’s expressed homicidal ideations and plans to carry out a mass attack.”

On Dec. 22, Llamas wrote a “final statement” before planning to carry out the attack. “I know I’m a nobody and I don’t belong anywhere and I’m doomed to be a loser,” the letter read. “That’s why I’m going to get revenge on all the normies who outcasted and mocked me my whole life and inspire other future shooters. I don’t belong among any normie group; I belong among the top 10 deadliest school shooters.”

Court documents have revealed that the 18-year-old had been diagnosed with depression and anxiety. It has been revealed that Llamas experienced “suicidal ideations and emotional distress” ever since he was in high school, owing to his underlying condition. Psychologists have advised Llamas to undergo treatment for his “intrusive thought patterns and identity-related distress.” Doctors believe this is one of the major causes of his violent behavior.

Doctors have stated that while Llamas didn’t go ahead with the attack, he managed to “pass through multiple stages” which has been deemed dangerous by psychologists. “While Mr Llamas did not complete an attack, he crossed several critical behavioral thresholds, placing him in a late-stage, pre-incident position before interruption,” a psychological report revealed.
