A few weeks ago, the Inquisitr reported on the highest-paid men on TV, which had the four actors from The Big Bang Theory bagging the top 3 spots. Now, Forbes has released the list of the World’s Highest-Paid TV Actresses for this year. Tied on the first spot are Sofia Vergara and Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting. The results are based on earnings from June 2014 to June 2015.
Vergara, one of the most beloved characters on Modern Family, has been in the No. 1 spot on the list for four years in a row. As reported by Forbes, Sofia Vergara’s earnings reached $28.5 million this year, before taxes. This can be attributed to the continued success of Modern Family as well as several endorsement deals. In addition, Vergara also spearheads a talent agency that she co-founded back in 1994.
The amount is less than what she reportedly earned last year, which was said to be $37 million, but it still puts her at the No. 1 spot.
Sofia Vergara’s earnings will still rise, as she is planning to create her own fragrance that she plans to call Love, which is something she wants to do for her upcoming wedding to Magic Mike star Joe Manganiello, as Mirror reports.
Kayley Cuoco-Sweeting, who also earned $28.5 million, can thank the success of Big Bang Theory. It may have also helped that she, together with her co-actors on the show, negotiated a raise with the big bosses last year. Kayley Cuoco-Sweeting now earns a whopping $1 million per episode of the The Big Bang Theory, and she signed a three-year contract to do the show. Additionally, Kayley Cuoco-Sweeting also has an endorsement deal with Priceline.com. Big bucks indeed.
The list of the highest-paid women is a combination of veterans on the list and four newcomers. One of the newcomers is Modern Family ‘s Julie Bowen, who was boosted to the No. 2 spot, thanks to an endorsement contract with Bridgestone.
