Earlier this week, former Alaskan governor Sarah Palin took to Facebook to announce her daughter Bristol’s canceled wedding . In her public announcement, Sarah pointed out that while the wedding ceremony has been called off, the Palins and Meyers will still be gathering for a barbecue in Kentucky.
Indeed, the Palins and Meyers pushed through with the alternative celebration, and the barbecue was attended by about a hundred people including some notable personalities.
However, what caught the attention of the media was a questionable photo which depicted Palin raising a finger to Dakota Meyer. It is unclear as to what the two were discussing, but Palin’s gesture suggests that she might have been agitated. Were Palin and Meyer in a heated discussion?

Despite the controversial snap, Palin came to her daughter’s rescue once more as she came out to the media with the “real reason” behind their celebration. Many have been asking why the Palin and Meyer families pushed through with a barbecue despite the unfavorable circumstances, and Mama Palin handled it like a true politician.
In an exclusive statement to People , Palin explained, “This Kentucky farm is a beautiful setting for our friends and families to gather in celebration of life itself this Memorial Day weekend. Nothing is more precious to us than family, faith and America’s freedom.”
She continued, “On the year anniversary of our families meeting each other, this weekend is to appreciate both our families’ unconventional, unexpected chapters in exciting lives, with pages turning to more opportunities to live life vibrantly. This centers on showing love and respect for our military’s sacrifices, and that’s what Memorial Day is all about.”
Palin sure knows how to turn things around. Meanwhile, her daughter Bristol was evidently absent from the Kentucky barbecue. From her social media account, we learn that while Mama Palin was busy in Kentucky, the 24-year-old single mom was enjoying a getaway in Atlanta with exotic model Marina Lupas.
Lupas and Bristol, who are long-time friends, enjoyed their Memorial Day weekend by basking in the great outdoors and driving around in an RV. We cannot blame Bristol for wanting a timeout after a canceled wedding, but her choice of companion is highly questionable.

Lupas aggressively markets herself online as an exotic model and to do so, she posts revealing photos of herself publicly. Bristol’s association with the “exotic model and video vixen” is bad news for Sarah, who has made a big issue of her family’s adherence to Christian family values.
