Audriana Cobb Williams, a high school teacher in Albany, Georgia, found herself in hot water after a scandal broke out involving her and a 17-year-old student. Williams and the student in question were photographed kissing at a Home Depot. According to the 31-year-old, the picture was taken off her personal iPad by a disgruntled, fired cheer manager, who wanted to leak the image to expose her.
While Williams initially tried to make it look as if she bumped into the student at Home Depot, further investigations revealed that she and the student actually made plans to meet off campus. Williams had also tried to play off the entire incident as a prank.
The student was questioned about the relationship that he and Williams developed, where he revealed that romantic feelings had developed mutually. Further, they had also talked about s*xual activities. Investigators were also able to retrieve FaceTime screenshots, where the student appeared to be shirtless during conversations.
The Georgia student revealed that he and Williams had engaged in intimate activities. Specific instances the student claimed happened were denied by Williams, who said she did not remember them occurring at all.

Williams was arrested and indicted on two counts of s*xual contact by an employee or agent, which carried a decade-long prison sentence. However, the charge was quashed because kissing did not fit the legal definition of s*xually explicit conduct. This also turned into an extortion scheme when a student identified as Jaquan Maddox tried to make the entire issue “go away” for $1000 a week from Williams.
Following a trial, a jury found Mrs. Williams not guilty of the remaining count on October 31, 2025. Following the scandal, she resigned from her teaching position.
Comments under the video were critical of the teacher, especially given that she was married and had a child. They were also critical of the authorities that seemed to treat the student as part of the problem. One user wrote, “I’m confused why the victim is being treated as if he’s the problem here….” Another one stated, “Adults on social media that seek validation from kids are usually the biggest predators. A bunch of weirdos.” A third comment read, “For the life of me, I cannot FATHOM what is remotely attractive about teenagers. I avoid them at all costs! Yeah dude looks like he’s 35, but he sounds and acts like he’s 15.”
