A salon in Florida called 911 after a customer came in drunk for her hair appointment. When the police officers reached the salon, they spoke to the woman. She told them she had had two drinks since the salon asked her to come after a while.
She had to wait more than an hour, so she decided to have drinks and then come back for her appointment. However, when she came back, she was disorderly, and the salon employees refused to offer her services. She refused to leave the salon and asked them to do her hair since she had been waiting for an hour.
The officer told her she could be arrested for trespassing and refusing to leave, as it was private property. She claimed she had worked as a criminal attorney, so she knew what trespassing was. She said, “Oh, wow. That’s cool. I’m going to read it. Okay. Because, you know, being an attorney for like two decades, I kind of would like to read it.” She told the officer, “The last time you guys arrested me, you stole my tennis shoes.” The officer wanted her to sign a document acknowledging that she was trespassing.
She hurled abuse at the police officer while signing the document. She said that, being an attorney, she wanted to make sure what she was signing while she was trying to find mistakes in the form. The officer told her not to make any changes to the document and to sign it. He told her that refusing to sign it would lead to her arrest.
After that, she kept on arguing with the officers and still refused to leave. The officer gave her a last warning to leave and counted down to twenty seconds. Once it was over, she was arrested and taken into police custody.
This wasn’t the end of her disorderly behavior, as she continued to abuse and demean the police officers. She also told him not to steal money from her bag. Later, she demanded that the officer turn on the AC for her. “Oh, knock knock. Hello. Could you please turn on the air?” the officer responded It’s already on.
She was charged with trespassing and disorderly conduct. Later, she posted bail of $650. She may go to prison for up to a year, according to Florida trespassing law.
The bodycam video got over 607K views on YouTube. Viewers took a jab at her profession and her behavior. One joked, “If she’s an attorney, then I’m a neurosurgeon!” Another one posted, “She’s been a criminal defense attorney for 20 years and doesn’t know that a private business can have you trespassed from their property. I don’t think so.”
One more viewer pointed out, “LAST TIME you arrested me??? Not a good opening defense. She’s not normal.” “The only BAR she ever passed was one serving alcohol,” joked another YouTube user.
