Illinois police stopped a woman after she jumped a red light, suspecting DUI. After the investigation, the officers found out that not only was she drunk, but she was also carrying alcohol in her vehicle. Another problematic thing was her attitude towards the law enforcement officers.

During the interview, the Illinois suspect briefly excuses herself to call her boyfriend, requesting his immediate presence at the scene. She maintained that her alcohol consumption was limited to a single glass of wine and denied any impairment.

However, the responding officer noted that her eyes were bloodshot.

The bodycam footage showed the Illinois officer saying, “I smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. Your eyes are red. They’re also watery. And then judging by your your your uh your driving habits, I just want to run some tests. Make sure you’re okay to drive that vehicle.”

Consequently, she was requested to perform standard field sobriety tests. Upon demonstrating poor performance on a majority of the evaluations, she was placed under arrest under suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Her breath sample was also not satisfactory; the blood alcohol level came out to be 0.172. The officer put her in handcuffs and directed her to get into the police vehicle. She refused to do that and argued with the officers.

She demanded her phone from the officer and asked for her car not to be towed. Meanwhile, she was not in a position to make these demands since she was under arrest. The woman said, “You don’t got to put your hand on me. Give me my phone. Uh, give me my phone.”

The officer responded, “You’re not going to get your phone, ma’am. I’ll give it to you at the station as long as you just listen to me. So, please sit down.” Despite that, she kept asking for her phone multiple times.

She was charged with DUI, improper lane usage, disobeying a traffic control device, and illegal transportation of alcohol. A search of her vehicle revealed she was carrying an open bottle of tequila on the rear passenger floorboard. There were some empty wine coolers in the passenger area as well.

The bodycam video has more than 3K views on YouTube. Many viewers pointed out her bad behavior and entitlement. One commented, “The entitlement is prevalent. She is not only extremely delusional, but she is just as annoying. What’s scary about DUIs is the fact that these people believe they’re fine to drive. I have zero sympathy for any of them.” Another user joked, “She’s not the brightest star in the sky.”

One more slammed her, “What’s worse than an idiot is an entitled arrogant idiot who thinks they do no wrong.” Another viewer noted, “They love making demands and being incapable of accepting they did anything wrong. Nothing is ever their fault. The world is out to get them. Absolutely insufferable.” One user suggested, “If the phone can be seen, the cop should be allowed to take it away first thing for their safety, so the people Can’t call other people to the scene!”
