Paulina Gretzky comforted Dustin Johnson after seeing her beau lose the U.S. Open victory to rival Jordan Spieth. Faster than you can say “he lost by one stroke,” Paulina was by Dustin ‘s side, reported E News .
Spieth, a 22-year-old rising star in the golf world, knew he had won as soon as he watched Johnson miss a putt at just three feet. If Dustin had made it, Johnson would have been in the playoff.
Consolation didn’t take long to arrive, however. Paulina immediately dashed to Dustin after seeing his collapse. Gretzky gave him two forms of comfort: A big smack on the lips and an exchange of their five-month-old from the 26-year-old model’s arms into daddy Dustin’s big hands.
Johnson and Paulina have one child, a little boy named Tatum. Golf is his game forever, but Dustin admitted that being a father has changed his perspective on the world.
“From the first day he’s born, your perspective on life completely changes. Things that were important aren’t important anymore. He’s the only thing that’s really important, and being there for him and being a role model for him.”
Reflecting on how having a baby has changed Dustin, Paulina shared her joy with ET Canada .
Johnson has been her best friend throughout their relationship, and now he’s the best father possible, said Gretzky.
“It’s just unbelievable. Dustin’s the best dad, he’s my best friend. He’s been so supportive with me and we’re just there for each other. I couldn’t be happier for him.”
Although the baby was born in January, Paulina has already restored her pre-baby body , as the Inquisitr reported.
Daughter of ex-pro hockey player Wayne Gretzky as well as the fiancee of Dustin, she grew up and lives in the world of fitness. As a result, Paulina credits both her parents’ genes and hard work in the form of diet and exercise.
“First of all, I was blessed with incredible genes. Look at my parents! But it’s really 70-percent diet and 30-percent working out. It’s all about fitting in some exercise wherever you are,” said Paulina.
“I used to run every day, and I absolutely loved it. It was like meditation for me. I also loved kickboxing. What really kept me in great shape was dancing. Lately, I’ve been constantly on the go, so I don’t get to run much anymore. Now I’m doing workout videos every day. If you don’t want to go to the gym and would rather work out alone, all you have to do is find a workout on YouTube.”
As for her diet, Paulina recommends portion control and limiting treats.
“It’s as simple as Everything in Moderation. I’ll eat pizza and cheeseburgers, but I won’t do it every day,” said Gretzky, summing up her bikini body diet.
