Melania Trump did not take the news of her husband’s alleged affair too well. The First Lady was furious at her husband following the media storm involving Stormy Daniels. The former model even tried her best to “embarrass” her husband in relation, according to a source.
Adult entertainer Stormy Daniels has accused Donald Trump of cheating on Melania by sleeping with her. Daniels has claimed to have even received “hush money” to keep the alleged affair under wraps.
Michael Cohen, Trump’s former attorney, transferred $130,000 right before the 2016 elections. The encounter between Daniels and Trump allegedly took place in 2006, right after Melania had given birth to Barron Trump.
Melania has never publicly addressed the rumors, but the FLOTUS reportedly expressed her anger over the matter in her own way. Katie Rogers, New York Times White House correspondent, claimed that Melania had her mind set on shaming her husband following the incident.
In the book ‘American Woman: The Transformation of the Modern First Lady,’ Rogers claims that the former model decided not to cancel on her husband for a pre-planned trip. The overseas trip was scheduled right around the time that the Stormy Daniels scandal had erupted again.

Melania’s Press Secretary, Stephanie Grisham, recalled the incident and noted that Melania likely wanted her husband to be “humiliated” as a result of her actions. “I think she was pissed at [Donald] Trump and wanted him to be a little humiliated that she took off,” Grisham speculated.
The First Lady eventually addressed the rumors in a 2018 interview with ABC News. “I have much more important things to think about and to do,” Melania noted in reference to the infidelity rumours.
Multiple sources have shared that Melania has told the media that her marriage is doing fine. The First Lady has reportedly also assured the media that she and her husband love each other and are doing just fine. Various rumors have claimed that the former model wants to divorce her husband.

The rumors especially picked up after Joe Biden was elected as the President in November 2020. Omarosa Manigault Newman, who previously served as a White House aide, addressed the rumour in a 2020 interview. “Melania is counting every minute until he is out of office and she can divorce,” he told the Daily Mail.
Omarosa added that Melania feared what Trump was capable of doing if she left him while he was in office. A 2024 National Enquirer report also claimed that the couple was staying together only with the motive of getting Trump re-elected.
