Donald Trump’s niece, Mary Trump, is once again speaking up about her uncle. Mary, who has been a vocal critic of the U.S. President since the beginning of his political career, commented that her uncle is invoking “a God he does not believe in” during his recent press conference after the U.S. strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
She accused Trump of using it as a hypocritical and political ploy. The psychologist opened up about her family’s relationship with religion in the latest edition of her Substack newsletter, The Good in Us. She commented that her family has always used God for transactional needs.
“Starting with my grandfather, the only thing that mattered, the only thing they believed in was money. God did not enter into the equation and never once did I see any sincere professions of faith in God,” Mary commented.
She accused Trump and his minions of “using religion to justify everything they do, no matter how diabolical.” She further slammed his administration for being “cynical and hypocritical.”
“A grotesque exploitation of the sincere faith of millions of Americans,“ Mary Trump lamented. She finds it a bit of a “huge problem“ that “somebody as godless as Donald Trump pretends to believe what his followers want him to believe for reasons of political expedience.”
The longtime critic of Donald Trump further elaborated, “The problem is not that Donald doesn’t believe in God; it’s that he’s a hypocrite and he is a user. He believes in one higher power only and, in his head, that’s him.”
Last month, she slammed her uncle for getting Americans directly involved in the Iran-Israel conflict, calling the situation “unilateral, unprovoked, and illegal war.“ In her writing piece, The Worst Person at the Worst Time, she lamented, “As a country, we are at war and the man who led us into this war is a corrupt, degraded, ignorant know-nothing who acted illegally to plunge us into a potentially catastrophic situation without the consent of Congress because, despite the fact that he is president of the United States of America and arguably the most recognized figure on the planet, he wasn’t getting enough attention.“

“In the wake of Israeli strikes against Iran, Donald spent a few days saber-rattling only to back off (chicken out, if you will) in the wake of searing criticism by some of the most reliably sycophantic members of his cult—e.g. Rep. Marjorie Green (R-GA), Alex Jones, and Steve Bannon). He announced at a bizarre press conference that his decision to address the ostensibly urgent crisis regarding Iran would be put off for two weeks.“
Mary’s article continued, “Only two days later, he ordered the attack on Iran. His allies would have us believe that Donald, a brilliant strategist, was faking us out. Sure. An infinitely more plausible explanation is that, on the one hand, he hates being challenged or contradicted, especially from those who almost always fall in line; therefore, he felt the need to double-down on his threats by carrying them out.”
