Reality television personality Sidney Favors, popularly known as Sidney Starr, has been arrested in Georgia and is facing multiple felony charges involving a minor, according to the authorities in Fulton County, Atlanta.
Favors is currently being held in the Fulton County Jail without bail. She has been charged with aggravated child mol*station, aggravated sodomy, and se*ual battery against a child under the age of 16.
On Sunday morning, police arrested Favors at the Embassy Suites hotel in Hapeville, Georgia. Warrants state that she confessed to performing oral se* on a young boy at the hotel. However, she claimed the encounter was consensual.
Starr rose to fame after she began her YouTube journey and later expanded into reality TV. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Starr grew up mostly in Atlanta, Georgia. She came out as a transgender woman and has since actively used her platform to advocate for transgender and queer rights.
Starr was assigned male at birth, but by age five, she realized she wanted to be a girl. As a child, she preferred playing with Barbie dolls instead of G.I. Joe toys. She also discussed transitioning her gender as a teenager, which led to her being bullied in school.

Following news of her arrest, musician Aakosha Bentley, who shares a close professional and personal bond with Starr, became emotional during an Instagram live broadcast. She was seen sobbing as she continued to say she could not believe Starr would do something of this extent.
Starr’s personality resonated with netizens, and she gained a massive following across social media platforms. People online were shocked when they learned about the charges against her.
