Kathryn Edwards Fired From ‘The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills’ Ahead Of Season Seven [Report]

Kathryn Edwards has reportedly gotten the boot after just one season on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Weeks after Bravo officially confirmed the hit reality series would be returning to the network later this year for a seventh season, sources claim the show will be without Kathryn Edwards.

On June 2, sources confirmed the news to Us Weekly, claiming Kathryn Edwards, who was a friend of Lisa Rinna’s prior to joining the show, was one-and-done.

Kathryn Edwards was brought aboard The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for Season 6 at the end of last year, and in January, she appeared in her debut episode. Meanwhile, pop star Erika Jayne Girardi was also added to the show for Season 6, but her future with the series has not yet been revealed.

Kathryn Edwards and Erika Jayne Girardi’s additions to the show were prompted by the exits of Kim Richards and Brandi Glanville, whose roles were reduced from full-time to cameo roles after Season 5.

During her most recent blog, Kathryn Edwards discussed her time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

“I came into the group mid-way through the season and tried to understand the dynamics on my own,” Kathryn Edwards wrote in her Bravo blog exactly one month ago. “I was happy to navigate the waters alone, because I prefer to observe the way people act and react and come to my own conclusions. It’s an interesting group to say the least. There are a lot of personalities and a lot of egos… Success and money only magnifies who someone really is… we don’t all have to like each other, but respect is a necessity.”

“When a group of smart, beautiful and motivated women come together, it is powerful. You can do much if you unite and have a common goal or you can tear each other down,” she continued. “Sadly, I think too much was spent on the latter.”

Still, Kathryn Edwards said she had fun filming the show and established “some valued friendships.” She also revealed that she enjoyed getting to know fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Just days before Kathryn Edwards’ reported firing was revealed, The Hollywood Reporter shared news of the possible addition of Sydney Holland, 44, ex-girlfriend of billionaire Sumner Redstone, 93, to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. According to the report, Holland dated Redstone for five years (they were set up by Millionaire Matchmaker ‘s Patti Stanger) before the former pair parted ways at the end of last year amid allegations of a Holland affair.

The outlet claimed Holland, or perhaps her reps, created a “sizzle reel” for producers of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in hopes of landing a spot on the upcoming Season 7.

If Holland does join The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she will be joining the likes of Lisa Vanderpump and Kyle Richards, who are the only remaining full-time, original housewives of the series. As for the rest of the cast, which included Lisa Rinna, Eileen Davidson, Yolanda Foster and Erika Jayne during Season 6, the official lineup has not yet been announced.

Kathryn Edwards has not yet publicly addressed her reported exit from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Bravo has declined to comment on her current show status.
