A few hours ago, a White House Instagram post went viral featuring Karoline Leavitt, press secretary to Donald Trump, and a very outspoken communicator. In the video, she’s excited about the “One Big Beautiful Bill.”
Leavitt’s got on a pink suit, acting like a celebrity influencer, trying to get everyone hyped about this legislation. She breaks it down into five main ideas: making the military strong and stopping the government from paying for transgender surgeries.
But the comments section exploded with people tearing her and the bill apart.

The points include stronger military funding, Medicaid work requirements, stripping benefits from undocumented immigrants, and what the video calls “pro-worker, pro-family, pro-America” values. At the end, there is a warning that voting no would lead to “the BIGGEST TAX HIKE IN HISTORY.”
But many didn’t buy the pitch, and they lit the comments section with sarcasm, disbelief, and fact-laden rebuttals!
Internet Trolls Take the Mic Against Karoline Leavitt
The comments came fast and furious, and they weren’t kind. “I’ve never seen someone so happy to explain something so sad,” one user quipped. Some called her “Propaganda Barbie” with a touch of sarcasm, while others underlined the parts of the bill that weren’t talked about as much. These included selling off about three million acres of land that belonged to the public, some big cuts to the Medicaid program that helps many people, and giving massive tax breaks to big corporations.
“Nice propaganda. THIS BILL WILL KILL 21,000+ AMERICANS A YEAR!!!!” wrote @ashleyayersofficial, citing healthcare slashes. Another user, @tarah_oc, warned the bill “would devastate the economies of many towns that focus on hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, skiing, biking, or aviating.”

Even MAGA-leaning users appeared wary. “Even MAGA is sitting this one out,” wrote @jolly_jim_rancher. And perhaps most damningly: “K-K-K-Karolying again!” said @omarwinning, mocking Leavitt’s bubbly delivery.
One comment summarizes the growing disillusionment: “This bill would sell the land I work on… to fund tax cuts for billionaires.” Many echoed this concern, fearing environmental impact, job losses, and community collapse.
Does The Big Beautiful Bill Promise Bigger Paychecks or Billionaire Payoffs?
The bill claims it would be an “economic windfall” for American workers. Looking at the White House’s website, the proposed plan could mean some big bucks for workers in the long run, up to $14,800 more in their pockets, per the Council of Economic Advisers (CEA), which was cited in this official release.
This new bill is a sequel to the 2017 tax cuts that Trump pushed through, with similar ideas like cutting down on what businesses pay in taxes, letting them write off more, and encouraging companies to create more jobs.

But not everyone is singing its praises. Detractors say these figures might not tell the whole story and could be too optimistic. The projections rely on the same trickle-down logic we saw in 2017, if considered, to the deficit surge and wealth consolidation that followed. The bill’s detractors also cite its impact on environmental protections, consumer finance regulations, and education funding as deeply regressive.
The reel may have been designed to sway hearts with soft lighting and pink power suits, but it may have inadvertently accomplished the opposite. Instead of stirring support, it revealed growing fatigue over style-over-substance politicking. And deep concern over Donald Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill’s hidden costs.
