Deen Castronovo, current touring drummer for Journey, has been arrested on a charge of assaulting his girlfriend, according to a report at TMZ .
TMZ’s sources, who are said to be close to the drummer, reveal he was pulled in by cops on Sunday in Oregon. Allegedly a row he had with his girlfriend had turned physical. After being booked into Polk County Jail, Castronovo was slapped with a list of charges – coercion, assault in the 4th degree, criminal mischief in the 2nd degree, interfering with making a report, and harassment.
Castronovo’s bail was set at $52,500, which he himself paid. A rep for the musician told TMZ:
“It was a misunderstanding that should not have been escalated to such a level in the first place.”
The lengthy list of charges has been attributed to what happened before the alleged physical violence – supposedly, Castronovo snatched the phone from his girlfriend’s hand when she fled from her house to ring her father.
