Iranian rhetoric continued to remain heated against the United States on the 4th of July as officials in the country announced their capabilities to bomb any U.S. base across the Middle East in a matter of minutes. Officials from the Revolutionary Guards also targeted Israel, claiming attacks would be swift.

The threat arrived after Israel hinted that it may attack Iran if diplomacy between the countries fail to stop Iran’s nuclear power program.

According to Amir Ali Haji Zadeh, commander of the Revolutionary Guards aerospace division:

“These bases are all in range of our missiles, and the occupied lands (Israel) are also good targets for us.”

Haji Zadeh noted that 35 U.S. bases were within reach of Iran’s ballistic missiles with bases as far away as 1,300 miles away making possible targets.

Haji Zadeh then noted:

“We have thought of measures to set up bases and deploy missiles to destroy all these bases in the early minutes after an attack.”

In the meantime defense officials around the world are skeptical of Iran’s claims, noting that sophisticated U.S. defense systems would likely level Iran’s offense before it could cause any serious damage.

Iran officials have increased their war rhetoric after European Union sanctions went into play on Sunday which placed an embargo on buying Iranian crude oil. Iran receives 80% of its gross domestic product (GDP) from the export of oil.

In response to the countries threats to close the Strait Of Hormuz, an area that delivers nearly one-third of the world’s oil supply, the United States has kept a fleet of Navy ships in the vicinity, ships that could be used to counter a potential Iranian threat against US bases and potentially Israel.
