According to The New York Times , the House Democrats are laying out a plan to defeat vulnerable Republicans in order to reclaim the majority of the House, thanks to Donald Trump.

The article states that House Democrats have also outraised the GOP by about $8 million dollars, which is rare for a minority party.
One Republican admitted that the stakes were quite high.
“It’s a remarkable situation. We, the Republicans, ought to be in a much stronger position in many suburban areas,” said Representative Charlie Dent of Pennsylvania, whose district includes both suburbs and small cities. “Because of the nature of the nominee, it’s going to be a lot more competitive than it ought to be.”
But the House Democrats — while relying on Donald Trump’s failure to give them an advantage — are planning to tighten their strategies for some areas where the candidates reveal vulnerabilities by simply retiring, such as Michael G. Fitzpatrick outside of Philadelphia.

The Inquisitr recently published a report on the idea that Republican supporters for Hillary Clinton were looking to go after her should she become president, especially if there’s a Republican majority over House Democrats.
With House Democrats regaining the majority would remove the grip Mitch McConnell has to prevent hearings for President Obama’s nominee, Merrick Garland, and perhaps give congress a better chance to pass laws without constant obstruction and endless stalemates.
The Columbus Dispatch reports on Ohio Democrats as examples of those who are hoping for those gains , but it also reports — as many other sources have — that the GOP is not worried about Donald Trump costing them seats.
In the article, Aaron Fisher who is the executive director of the House Democratic Caucus, points to their advantage there.
“Donald Trump seems to be alienating many groups of voters that Republicans are going to need in a lot of these districts, particularly female voters and college-educated Republicans. That will give us a real opportunity to come in and strike.”
There has always been a mindset among Republicans that they would lose the White House to Donald Trump, and over the last few elections, there’s been the idea to look forward to the next election.
But the House Democrats have been on a winning streak in popularity among Americans, even though they have not been able to accomplish much in congress under a Republican majority.
Democratic Representative John Lewis of Georgia made headlines a few months ago over gun violence with a sit-in, to force Republicans to work on forcing gun laws and while Republicans cried “uncle,” their promises were put to Republican manipulation and killed over time, which the Inquisitrcovered.
In one recent op-ed by The Washington Post , the suggestion is to plan for the 2018 and 2020 presidency, counting that Clinton’s large gains now, will be her undoing then.
“It appears a political landslide will sweep the country. That’s not all bad. The larger the margin, the greater the chances a Clinton administration will overplay its hand, handing Republicans a clear opportunity to repair the damage in 2018 and 2020.”
Many have also said that Democratic voters seem to only vote during the Presidential elections and not the mid-terms, which would appear to be correct by the Republican gains in the House.
Republicans have been accused of gerrymandering in various states, where they can reduce Democratic voters from voting, or not being contested.
The House Democrats also have the advantage of the overturning of the voter I.D. laws in some conservative states, by judges who have ruled that they’re unconstitutional — as reported by the Inquisitr — who are threatening to force states to allow the voters access if they do not comply with their ruling.
