More heartbreaking stories are coming out of Minneapolis amid the ongoing ICE raids and deportations in the United States. According to The Mirror US, a teen named Anthony was reportedly laughed at by federal agents while he was bringing emergency medication for his father, who was arrested at his workplace and held at a detention center.
The young man revealed that his father, a 58-year-old McDonald’s employee, was taken into custody from his workplace. He was later taken to a detention facility nearby.
The man reportedly suffers from severe heart conditions and has escaped heart failure in the past. Considering his father’s complicated medical history, the teen went to the detention center to help him with necessary medications.
However, ICE agents present at the scene not only ignored his plea but also allegedly made fun of him. The teen spoke to MS Now about the pitiful situation at home post his father’s detention.
“I feel heartbroken, I feel alone. I just wish my dad would come home so he can be with my mom and my mom can stop crying at night. Something is missing. Some part of our heart is missing when he is not here,” he said.

While the Trump administration claims that its plan is to detain only criminals, lawbreakers, and illegals, recent stories of ICE bombardments and shootings say otherwise. Recent headlines suggest that Minneapolis has been taking the most hits, with two civilians, Renee Nicole Good and Alex Pretti, being shot dead by ICE agents in broad daylight.
Anthony, who refused to show his face on camera for safety reasons, reportedly merched bravely into facility. Reports suggest his father’s life could have been at risk if he didn’t get the heart medication.
Recalling the traumatic experience, the young man could not hold back his frustration, “I gave an ICE agent my dad’s medicine, but I’m not sure if he got it because the ICE agent just smirked at me…he laughed in my face.”
Anthony desperately wanted to bring his father his medicine, but was heartbroken to see the federal agent laughing at him. The bitter interaction left him feeling like he “was not welcomed in this community.”
I saw a news item about a son drying to get heart medication to his father a detainee in a ICE facility. ICE agent smirked and mocked the son when delivering meds. That reminded me of a story my father told about Gestapo mocking his attempt to provide meds to a family member. pic.twitter.com/mcHaknaBE5

However, the teen stood his ground. The Mirror US reports that he later brought back lawyers and medical staff and refused to leave the premises of the detention facility until his father received his medication.
Anthony’s story sparked significant outrage online. People are now wondering if the government crackdown has reached a new low as the ICE agents show a lack of morality.
They are expressing their anger over the federal agents’ lack of respect for an elderly man in his 50s, who is only trying to make ends meet, and a son who faced humiliation for only trying to bring his father the necessary medicines.
