Activision is working on a follow-up to DJ Hero , its Guitar Hero spin-off that nobody bought .
We’re not supposed to know about the sequel, but loose-lipped French DJ David Guetta let the cat out of the bag in an interview with Canadian newspaper Kelowna . “I think it’s amazing, this game,” burbled Guetta, who has already “laid down” some “beats” as part of downloadable content for the original title. “I’m going to work on the number two version.”
So yeah, I’d say sequel confirmed.
That’s good news, because while the first DJ Hero only saw modest sales, it did earn favorable reviews and defied my personal expectations by being rather enjoyable – even if it didn’t hook me in the way early Guitar Hero games managed.
