Do you ever find yourself frustrated on Facebook because you have to click on numerous profiles to find photos of a certain event? Well, there’s some good news.

Facebook is set to debut a new feature that allows more than 50 people to contribute to a single photo album. The new feature is being implemented so users can go to one place to share their photos if they want.

Another useful setting is that creators will be able to choose just who gets to see the shared album. That’s not the only thing that’s being added to the new share option. A user will also be able to invite contributors, and allow certain users to maintain the album if they choose.

Previous to this change, users were only allowed to upload their own photos to their own album and had a 1,000 photo cap. That cap has seemed to be lifted with this new feature.

The only downside is if you’re looking for more customized settings on your shared album. So far, the photo albums have three different privacy settings: public, friends of contributors, and contributors only.

Bob Baldwin, a software engineer over at Facebook made, a statement about the new feature:

“Right now, if you were at a party and there were three different albums created, you might not be able to see all the photos [based on privacy settings], which is kind of confusing and frustrating. Now that will be a thing of the past.”

Baldwin continued:

“I think one thing that’s really fun about creating products at Facebook is that you’re never quite sure how people will use the product one thing that’s really fun about creating products at Facebook is that you’re never quite sure how people will use the product in the end.”

Baldwin spearheaded the creation with Fred Zhao at a Facebook hackathon, which is geared so employees can work together and think of new and inventive projects.

Facebook will roll out this feature with users on Monday.
