An expedition in southeastern Ecuador has discovered a new species of frog that is notable for one particular trait: they’re transparent.

The Glass Frog, or Nymphagus chancas is naturally named after its translucent skin, which as per the Glass Frog picture above, means you’re able to see the frogs internal organs.

The scientests on the expedition also found a range of other new species, and are hoping their work will encourage the Ecuador Government protect the area from logging.
