TV show host and actress Ruby Wax made a shocking revelation recently regarding her interview with U.S. President Donald Trump. She confessed that she had contemplated quitting showbiz after the interview ended on a sour note. Wax interviewed the President for her Ruby Wax Meets series back in 2000.
Recalling the unpleasant experience, Ruby revealed that she was thrown off Trump’s private jet after she laughed at him when he expressed his wish to become President of the United States. Reportedly, he also threatened to “kill” the 72-year-old talk show host if they ever crossed paths again.
Ruby Wax called her interaction with Donald Trump her “worst interview” while appearing on the Stompcast podcast with Dr. Alex George. Before this, the Romance On The Orient Express star had described her interview with Trump as the most excruciating moment of her career, adding that he hated her throughout their conversation.

Talking about the incident, Ruby said, “Donald Trump was the cruelest. That was when I decided to quit show business because he threw me so much.” Further elaborating on the horrid experience, Wax recalled how she was sweating profusely during the interview because Trump was so full of hate and rage.
She added, “He was so full of rage and hatred that I had flop sweat running down my face and thought, ‘I never want to do this again.’ He nailed me completely and said at one point, ‘You’re angry with a smile.’”

According to The Mirror, Ruby Wax was bewildered by the President’s instincts during that time, especially since she was going through the same emotions. Wax was quoted as saying, “And I thought, ‘This guy has gutter instincts,’ because that’s exactly what I was.”
However, Ruby admitted that the tone of their interaction turned grim as soon as she laughed at Donald Trump expressing his wish to be the next President of the United States. She also confessed that she would have handled things differently if she had been allowed to interview him again.

Recalling the moment she was asked to leave the plane, Ruby said on the Disruptors podcast, “He called me obnoxious and he said, ‘Let’s land the plane.’ We were at 33,000 feet, and I had laughed at him when he said he wanted to be President of the United States.”
The Tara Road actress initially thought Trump was joking. However, she realized the seriousness of the situation when she was actually removed from the President’s private jet. She continued, “He said to John McEnroe, who was my next interview after him, ‘If I ever see Ruby Wax again, I’m going to kill her.’”
According to the Irish Star, in a previous interview with ABC, Donald Trump had asked the pilot to land the plane in Arkansas so that she could get off. However, in the same interaction, Ruby also recalled another instance when she managed to impress Trump by not bowing to his intimidation.
She said, “We were in a car together, but you don’t see that. And he told me what he likes to do with women, thinking that he would shock me. But I shocked him back, so then he started to like me. Because I became as animal as he did.”
