‘Destiny’ Weekly Reset For April 19: Challenge of Elders Hearts Grenades

The second Destiny Weekly Reset following the April update has arrived and provided a better idea of what to expect. The Challenge of Elders rotated in a new set of bosses, modifiers, and bounties for PlayStation and Xbox players to take on that will greatly favor Warlock Voidwalkers. Meanwhile, the Nightfall takes a trip to the Sunless Cell with a punishing set of modifiers.

Challenge of Elders

Round Boss Description 1 Sylok, The Defiled Taken Knight 2 Val Aru’un Cabal Centurion shielded by three Psion Flayers. Kill the Flayer to drop his shield 3 Seditious Mind Taken Hydra

Modifiers

• Catapult — Minions of the Darkness won’t flinch, even after massive damage.
• Berserk — Grenade recharge rate is greatly increased
• Grenade Bonus — Grenade kills are worth more points.

Bounties

Name Description Impressive Performance Earn points in Challenge of Elders. Dead Shot Kill enemies with precision shots in Level 41 Prison of Elders or Challenge of the Elders. Shadow Boxer Use Void abilities to kill enemies in Level 41 Prison of Elders or Challenge of the Elders.

King’s Fall Raid Challenge Mode — Oryx (Guide )

The Destiny King’s Fall Raid challenge caps off this week with special conditions to beat Oryx. The Challenge mode condition is that players must detonate 16 Blight bombs at the same time to bring Oryx’s health down from full to almost zero.

The rewards for Normal Mode are a guaranteed 310 Helmet or Primary Weapon, 310 Artifact, and a Calcified Fragment. The Hard mode loot is the same as normal, plus a 320 Helmet or Primary Weapon, a 320 Artifact, Emblem, and a new Ship.

Nightfall — The Sunless Cell

Dreadnaught, Rings of Saturn Assault a prison deep in the heart of the Dreadnaught and put an end to a Hive champion.

Modifiers

• Epic — Heavily shielded and highly aggressive enemies appear in great numbers.
• Fresh Troops — Some enemy squads have been fortified with additional reinforcements.
• Match Game — Enemy shields are resistant to all unmatched Elemental Damage.
• Catapult — Grenade recharge rate is greatly increased.
• Exposure — Guardian shields are increased but do not replenish.

Vanguard Heroic Strikes

Modifiers

• Heroic — Enemies are more numerous and aggressive.
• Fresh Troops — Some enemy squads have been fortified with additional reinforcements.

Court of Oryx (Guide )

Tier 3: Thalnok, Fanatic of Crota

This mini-Crota boss plays similar to the final The Dark Below Raid encounter in Destiny, with a couple of twists. It will require teamwork, as well. Like Crota, the only way to kill Thalnok is to bring his shields down to force him to kneel, while a player whacks him with a sword dropped by a Knight.

Archon Servants have raised their own corrupted Servitor-god, Kaliks Reborn. Defeat it and be rewarded.

Round Enemy Objective Modifier(s) 1 Cabal TBD Specialist — Special Weapon damage is favored. 2 Fallen TBD Lightswitch — Minions of darkness deal much more melee damage. 3 Fallen TBD Airborne – – Players deal more damage while in the air. 4 Fallen TBD Exposure — Guardian shields are increased but do not replenish. 5 Fallen/ Kaliks Boss Fight Grounded — Players take more damage while airborne.

Gulrot, Unclean has been summoned by the Worm Keepers. Don’t let the beast’s filth spread beyond the prison.

Skolas and his crew challenge the Guardians who captured him. Face him with a Fireteam of three. End him. Brawler — Guardian Melee damage is greatly increased. 2 Vex Destroy Mines Grounded — Players take more damage while airborne. Airborne — Players deal more damage while in the air. 3 Cabal Dismantle Mines Catapult — Grenade recharge rate is greatly increased. Arc Burn — Arc Damage from any source is greatly increased. 4 Fallen Eliminate Target Specialist — Special Weapon damage is favored. Juggler — No ammo drops for your equipped weapon. 5 Fallen Mini-Boss Trickle — Recharge of abilities is significantly reduced.
