The Baltimore Ravens should probably add some extra security around their mascot. Last night Billy Cundiff had the chance to send the AFC championship game into overtime with a 32-yard field goal. But Cundiff missed and he quickly became the equivalent of Ace Ventura’s Ray Finkle.
After the game, Cundiff said:
“It’s a kick I’ve kicked a thousand times in my career. I just went out there and didn’t convert. That’s the way things go. There’s really no excuse for it.”
Cundiff is currently taking an emotional beating, but let’s hope that he handles it better than Ray Finkle. After Finkle missed his field goal, he went crazy, had a sex change operation, stole a dolphin, and attempted to blow up a football stadium.
It’s easy to pin all the blame on Billy Cundiff , but according to Ray Lewis, the Baltimore Ravens didn’t lose the game because of one play.
