On Monday Bootsie the cat found herself being saved by some firefighters and a special pet-sized oxygen mask. The firefighters found her a little worse for wear with burned ears and covered in soot as they were getting her owners out of a burning home in Jacksonville Florida.
The homeowner and her granddaughter had already been taken to safety when firefighters discovered the cat under some furniture, with burned ears and covered in soot.
After receiving treatment, she opened her eyes and was able to move around.
Her owners planned to take her to an emergency vet for a check-up.
