Bacon Powered Expedition Conquers South Pole

Three Canadian men have set a new record for the fastest trek to the South Pole, and they did it powered by bacon.

Ray Zahab, Kevin Vallely and Richard Weber said they had completed the 700 mile journey in 33 days, 23 hours and 30 minutes fulled only by a diet of deep-fried bacon, cheese and butter.

The previous record was 39 days, 7 hours and 49 minutes and was only set last month by an American who did take bacon with him.

Seriously though, while it’s a win for bacon, how many insane people are running around Antarctica trying to breaking speed records to the south pole? are they completely insane?
