Users of the Samsung Galaxy S4 are already experiencing problems with the Android 5.0 Lollipop that was delivered via Over The Air (OTA) updates in Norway. This update included more than your typical bugs. It has forced the Samsung office in Norway to place the OTA updates on hold for the Galaxy S4 until they resolve the situation.

Users are reportedly experiencing issues on their Galaxy S4 smartphone with regards to using software applications. One of the most noted issues reported is random freezing when using the various apps. There are also numerous bugs that cause the Galaxy S4 to freeze up and become unusable. There are also reports that Android 5.0 Lollipop is causing the phone to run slowly and not perform to its usual standards.

Samsung Norway has halted all OTA updates for the Galaxy S4. The manufacturer also announced on their Facebook page that they are working on this issue to make the appropriate updates and fixes to the Android Lollipop 5.0 and Galaxy S4 issues.

“We are aware of the issues some users are experiencing after installing the update Android 5.0 Lollipop and now has stopped the current version. We work full time with a new update that contains solutions to the problems that have been reported to us, including a new solution for silent mode. We hope to send out the update shortly, and will keep you updates on Facebook.”

The reason behind the problems behind the Android 5.0 Lollipop could involve a bug that’s attacking the ROMs or a mix-up with the software itself. Samsung will introduce a silent mode feature to make up for the lack for a normally functioning Galaxy S4 phone. The company says that this new feature is already in the works and that it could be released within the next few weeks.

Galaxy S4 users can breathe a sigh of relief to know that Samsung Norway is aware of this serious issue and is working hard to correct it. There hasn’t been any word on whether the Android Lollipop 5.0 update will be halted or delayed outside of Norway.

Some Samsung Galaxy S4 devices were already updated to the new Android software. Users in the U.S. were the first to receive the Android Lollipop 5.0 update , as previously reported on the Inquisitr . There were no reports on whether users in the U.S. were experiencing the same problems that users in Norway are currently experiencing. If you experience freezing, crashing, or rebooting on your Galaxy S4, it’s recommended that you should roll back to the Android KitKat 4.4 OS.
