Jennifer Lawrence is the apple of a lot of eyes at the moment. One person who seems particularly smitten with the actress is American Hustle co-star Amy Adams.
The Hollywood A-listers spent quite a bit of time together while filming director David O. Russell’s upcoming dramatic comedy. At one point in the film, moviegoers get to see Adams and Lawrence exchange a kiss. During her recent chat with HipHollywood , the Man of Steel discussed her fascination with the actress.
“She’s been my girl crush for a while since ‘Winter’s Bone.’ It’s not often that you work with women in this way, and we threw down, and she was just fearless and we just had fun with each other… I just loved working with her,” Adams said of her co-star.
This isn’t the first time the actress discussed working with Jennifer Lawrence while promoting American Hustle . Amy Adams recently explained the intensity behind their intimate scene to the Daily News .
“The volatile energy between Jennifer and I, it almost borders on intimacy because it’s so immediate and so there and then she kisses me,” Adams said.
Although Amy was definitely down for locking lips with Lawrence during the scene, the Catching Fire alum wasn’t so sure about the sequence. Jennifer told Access Hollywood that she didn’t fully understand the kiss when Russell initially suggested it.
“Then when we started the scene… it completely made sense. [My character] has a toxic need to be in control and to overpower a situation… I did not think it made sense before David called action and then as soon as we were in the scene, it happened organically because it was just so true,” the actress explained.
Jennifer Lawrence has enjoyed a very wild ride since receiving tons of acclaim for her portrayal of Ree in director Debra Granik 2010 drama. Not only did she win an Academy Award for her role in David O. Russell’s Silver Linings Playbook , she also landed the coveted role of Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games movies.
In addition to American Hustle , fans of the actress can catch her alongside Silver Linings Playbook co-star Bradley Cooper in the period drama Serena . She also stars in Bryan Singer’s highly-anticipated superhero epic X-Men: Days of Future Past . The flick opens in theaters across the country next summer.
