Is it just us, or has Amanda Bynes been acting nuts lately ? Though the 26-year-old actress continually insists that everything is fine in Amanda-ville, her family is reportedly concerned and considering an intervention.
Though she says she’s fine, her strange and erratic behavior lately has caused her family some concern , according to to E! News . Since quitting acting and relocating to New York, Bynes has gotten a dramatic makeover ( including cheek piercings ), gone on a handful of bizarre solo outings, and has been tweeting non-stop (mostly about dieting, exercise, and the rapper Drake).
This, on top of the long list of driving dilemmas, has Bynes’ family watching with concern from the West Coast. An insider says that they’re ready to intervene.
Reportedly, the family has already asked Bynes to return to Los Angeles so they can keep a closer eye on her, but she has refused. They’re currently hoping that everything is indeed fine, but they’re not above stepping in if they have to, the source said.
Amanda Bynes rose to prominence at a young age, appearing in several successful Nickelodeon television shows like All That and The Amanda Show in the late 90s and early 2000s.
She cemented her fame as a young adult with the 2002 TV series What I Like About You . She then transitioned to a film career, starring in several teenage-oriented films in the mid to late 2000s. In 2006, she was named one of Teen People ‘s “25 Hottest Stars Under 25.”
In early 2012, a string of legal problems led to Bynes’ abrupt departure from her acting career. She relocated to New York to start working in fashion design.
In 2007, Bynes spoke out against becoming another wild Hollywood star . “I think I’ll go out as much as I’ve ever gone out… which is not a lot. I like to dance and stuff, but drinking isn’t good for you in any way. It’s not good for your skin; it makes you feel horrible. So, drinking-wise, no.”
