A resident of Oak Park in Illinois was filming a storm cloud over his home on his cell phone camera when he noticed a bright orb UFO that streaked across the frame.
The orb UFO appeared at 11 seconds (see video below) and streaked across the frame from the upper left to the lower right.
“I was shooting video of a storm cloud emitting heat lightning from our back porch, When I viewed the video I saw a streak of light that I cannot explain or rationalize.”
Puzzled by the sighting, he slowed down the speed of the video and showed it to his friends. They could not explain it, either.
His friends advised him to forward the video to the Mutual UFO Network ( MUFON ), which took down his report and filed it in their archives as case number 68838, on July 31, 2015.
Open Minds-TV’s Roger Marsh described the UFO as a “bright orb UFO.”
Commenting on the sighting, online UFOlogist Scott Waring observed that UFOs are often sighted during storms.
He claimed that UFOs are attracted to the “high energy of the lightning.” Waring’s comment suggests that he believes UFOs tap energy from lightning bolts.
“Storms are some of the best places to catch UFOs. They are known to be attracted to the high energy of the lightning and the alien drones get very excited when they get 100% charged up. This is a good example, but usually there is many.”
Bright Orb UFOs, as Open Minds-TV’s Roger Marsh describes the latest sighting, are seen very very often in the Earth’s atmosphere. Many UFOlogists believe that it is the form of UFO that aliens prefer for small crafts conducting surveillance and reconnaissance flights within the Earth’s atmosphere.
The preference for bright orb UFOs could be due to the fact that it is easier to disguise or “cloak” them under cloudy daylight conditions.
Bright or glowing orb UFOs releasing even smaller orbs have been reported. UFO enthusiasts believe that these tiny orbs are escape pods. The Inquisitr reported a case over Western Massachusetts last January.
The Inquisitr also reported in July the sighting of a swarm of bright UFOs over Osaka, Japan. The sighting sparked speculation about an alien invasion of the city.
YouTube UFO hunter Streetcap1 also recently reported sighting a fleet of orb UFOs flying in formation into the erupting Calbuco volcano in Chile.
In April, the Inquisitr reported that an airline passenger filmed , from inside a plane, three orbs flying in a triangular formation.
The latest case is being investigated by the Illinois MUFON State Director Sam Maranto and Assistant State Director Roger Laurella, according to Open Minds-TV .
